Hi there. I just today installed AIPS on my Mac laptop (G4; Tiger) and
this seems to have gone okay. I used install.pl -n to get the binaries of
31DEC05. During the install though the setting up of the midnight job
didn't go exactly to plan as cvs was unable to connect to your server. I
got in touch with the systems people here and they fixed the problem.

Not knowing exactly what to do next I simply re-ran the MAKE.MNJ script.
Is this the right thing to do? It first asks me if I want to remove lots
of files in /SYSTEM/UNIX/UPDATE/ and then I get two errors about compilers
relating to UPDOBSLT and UPDLSTDAT. It also asks me for a date whereas the
binary version of the install.pl script I don't think is supposed to ask
you for this.

Any advice you give me on configuring this would be most welcome.
