[daip] Errors after xserver crash

Thank you! The version = '' command has worked, as far as I can tell.
Since I'm logging in from home with the tv turned off, I can't tell
whether the problem with tvall has been fixed. I'll have to check that
tomorrow morning but I thought I'd check what I could while you were still
online.
Thanks also for your comments about my attempts at a SUSE 9.3/AMD-64
installation. I haven't had a chance to get back to that yet but will try
again sometime and keep detailed notes.
