[daip] moving AIPS data between linux and a Mac

Dear Designated AIP,

Is it possible to transfer data used by AIPS from a linux box to a Mac? 
I
have a new computer, and a lot of AIPS data on a linux box that is 
nearing
the end of its life. Aside from converting everything to FITS, putting 
it
on the new computer, and reading it back in, is there any way to copy 
the
data files directly?
