Usually this happens when something is temporarily not working.  I put
in a test to catch this and flag the data - it used to abort sometimes
for illegal math operation.  The message only comes out when the data
were not flagged in some other way by the on-line system.  An exponent
of 29 would be 2**(-37) which would likely render the numbers as 0.0.
I suspect that there may have been bad interference even...
