ps -elf will show a ./TVSERV.EXE process running - it has no
icon.

In principle, this message occurs after an XAS has been killed for
maybe up to 10 minutes (on Solaris) or 1 minute (on LInux). If it
lasts longer than that, the operating system is confused or XAS was
killed in such a way as to prevent release of shared memory and of the
socket.

This is very disturbing - if you did not put the appropriate
entry into /etc/services then how can ot be busy? The message one
gets when it is not defined is very different than this.

Your tape file thinks that you have 3 tapes - you should fix it.

What messages immediately precede the hang? Are you using EXIT or
KLEENEX (which is supposed to kill the servers).

I suspect that your machine should be rebooted.
