Pat's machine aniken hangs up on the first or second sequence of AIPS
TV functions whether the function uses Internet sockets or Unix
sockets.  Leonia's Solaris box, using the same load modules, does not
have this problem.  And we have not made changes in this code in quite
a long time - well before Pat started having this problem.

What the cause is I cannot say.  I could try some debug code to tell
in a bit more detail but I doubt that it will really debug the real
problem.
