The file that is locked is named SPACE and is of zero bites.
Try cd to the data area
mv SPACE SPACE.OLD
touch SPACE
ls -l SPACE to make sure everything has rw privilege (or at least
yser and group)
File creation will still take place with the SPACE file problem but
there will be delays and two or more aips processes could compete for
space.
