[daip] Starting AIPS in Linux

Rob,

In your /aips directory there should be a script called
START_AIPS.  This is what you need to run.  When you
installed AIPS a symbolic link should have been set up 
sybolic links setting $SYSLOCAL/AIPS and $SYSLOCAL/aips
to $AIPS_ROOT/START_AIPS.  Have you sourced the LOGIN.CSH
(or . LOGIN.SH, depending on your shell) in the aips
directory?
