[daip] using OGEOM on data from SDSS

Hi daip,

I've been working at this one all day, maybe you can help. I've
downloaded FITS images from SDSS (ala
http://www.sdss.org/dr1/tutorials/retrieveFITS.html), which I want to
superimpose on my VLA maps. I can view the SDSS image in the DS9 fits
reader. I can load it into aips, and view it on the tv (looks the
same as in ds9). But when I run IMSTAT on the file, it says "ERROR 1
FINDING SKY COORDINATES". When I run OHGEO on the SDSS map (so I can
plot the it with the radio data), and it returns a blank map. That
was with the 31DEC02 aips, and I see (in the AIPSLetter) that some
upgrades have been made in this area, so I installed the 31DEC03 aips.
I loaded in the file afresh, and now IMSTAT works, but OHGEO (and
OGEOM) *still* produce a map with all the pixels blanked out (even
though they say "appears to have ended successfully"). Is the problem
with me, or SDSS, or AIPS? The SDSS maps list the Dec coordinate as
axis 1 and RA as axis 2, and they typically are rotated relative to
the sky. I thought aips could handle that sort of thing, right?

(here's part of the fits header for the SDSS image)
RADECSYS= 'ICRS ' / International Celestial Reference Sys
CTYPE1  = 'DEC--TAN'           / X (Column) Axis Projection
CTYPE2  = 'RA---TAN'           / Y (Row) Axis Projection
CUNIT1  = 'deg     '           / Column Axis Units
CUNIT2  = 'deg     '           / Row Axis Units
CRPIX1  = 1.02450000000000E+03 / Column Pixel Coordinate of Reference
CRPIX2 = 7.44500000000000E+02 / Row Pixel Coordinate of Reference Pix
CRVAL1  = 4.80370437000000E+00 / DEC at Reference Pixel
CRVAL2  = 1.64954742220000E+02 / RA at Reference Pixel
CD1_1   = 1.09941635742188E-04 / DEC degrees per column pixel
CD1_2   = 3.29073924731199E-06 / DEC degrees per row pixel
CD2_1   = -3.2911528084596E-06 / RA  degrees per column pixel
CD2_2   = 1.09938026741472E-04 / RA  degrees per row pixel

Thanks for any suggestions you can provide ...

Debbie
