This is what the active part of my $AIPS_ROOT/HOSTS.LIST file looks
like:

+  MANOS      LINUX   MANOS    NONE Put description here
+  LOCALHOST  LINUX   MANOS    NONE Put description here

Pat put a symbolic link in /usr/local/aips/31DEC05/LINUX/SYSTEM to
point MANOS to LOCALHOST.

INSTEP4 is giving trouble, though.
