[daip] help with TV display in new aips installation

You know I am not a system expert and we are short on them.  The file
in the FAQ is something we are apparently doing that seems to work.
I wouls assume that in some way you have not actually made it work on
your machine.

 Your computer is refusing to talk to itself.

setenv DISPLAY localhost:0
xclock &

will also not work I assume.

What is your $DISPLAY variable set to?

Try setting it to 

:0.0

and then using 

aips tv=local
