[daip] AIPS installation on IBM RS6000

Dear Sir,

We were unable to install AIPS via install.pl script on our IBM RS6000
(AIX 4.3 platform). It is giving following error.

Unable to compile UNSHR program
Tried -O -o UNSHR.IBM unshr.f in /prlsw/pub/aips/aipsinstall/IBM/
This means the READLINE library and XAS can not built which will
prevent INSTEP3 and INSTEP4 from running.

Could you let us know what the solution to this problem ? We are also
unable to download Binary of AIPS on AIX platform from your ftp site.
