It appears that you have answered the questions about compilers
incorrectly.  install.pl edits the Makefile from XAS.SHR to put in the
C compiler command that you entered in Screen 11.  What has ended up
in the Makefile is simply c which cannot be right.  The usual answer
is cc, often with a path prepended.

Take a look at your ~/.AIPSRC file to see what it contains for CCOM.

Go to your $AIPS_ROOT/31DEC02/Y/SERVERS/XAS area and delete all files
so the the SHR file gets unpacked again so that you are starting with
the code we shipped unedited by install.pl.

Then restart install.pl paying aprticular attention to Screen 11.
