(the new European currency) as "ducks".

Please, call them familiarly "ducks", as you would refer to US Dollars as 
"bucks". "Ducks and bucks" could be an easy and memorable pair to be used 
within financial, academic and social communities.

This is a linguistic experiment carried out by a research group at the 
Chair of Marketing at the University of Lecce, Italy. We are measuring the 
spread of a new term in the Internet community.

This message has no commercial aim and will be sent to you only once. We 
thank you in advance for promoting in your communications the use of this 
new word.

We shall periodically check the use of this term in search engines.
