[daip] AIPS credits

Hi Mary,

If you used AIPS but didn't use an NRAO telescope, you should
use a version of the standard NRAO acknowledgment, namely
something like

"AIPS is produced and maintained by the National Radio Astronomy
Observatory, a facility of the National Science Foundation
operated under cooperative agreement by Associated Universities, Inc."

If you are otherwise acknowledging NRAO because you used our
telescopes, use the standard NRAO acknowledgment (The National Radio
Astronomy Observatory is a facility of ..."). Then, when you
mention AIPS in the text, say something like "the data were
analyzed in AIPS, produced and maintained by NRAO, ..."
If you want to use a literature reference, there is no perfect one,
but I usually use

\bibitem[van Moorsel, Kemball, \& Greisen(1996)]{van96} van Moorsel,
G., Kemball, A., \& Greisen, E.\ 1996, in ASP Conf Ser.~101,
Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems V,
ed. G. H. Jacoby \& J. Barnes (San Francisco: ASP), 37

Hope this helps, sorry for the 1-day delay, and thanks for asking!

Best,

Jim Ulvestad
