Dear Amy;

In your capacity as  AIPS support could you help me identify this problem
with FITLD? The error message is as follows

GA3   > FITLD1: Task FITLD  (release of 15OCT99) begins
GA3   > FITLD1: ZTPOPD: using translated file name =
GA3   > FITLD1: ZTPOPD: /ga3/scr4/data/CYGX1//BS110A.FITS
GA3   > FITLD1: Found MULTI    observed on 15-OCT-2001
GA3   > FITLD1: Create BS110A      .MULTI .   1 (UV)  on disk  4  cno    3
GA3   > FITLD1: UVFDAT: ERROR READING TAPE. IERR=     4
GA3   > FITLD1: ERROR      4 RETURNED FROM UVFDAT
GA3   > FITLD1: Destroyed  1 extension files of type HI
GA3   > FITLD1: Destroyed UV image file: catno=      3 disk= 4
GA3   > FITLD1: Purports to die of UNNATURAL causes

AIPS appears to get to the end of reading the file in before crashing.
