Dear AIPSers:

We have a Pband data set taken in jan '01 that was a single
observe file, but filled for reasons unclear into two
data sets.  When we try to dbcon them, we get the message
'scaling u,v,w, ... by .995'..etc.for set 1 and
then same message for set 2.  

i looked in the code for dbcon, couldn't figure out what
this correction is for.  and there's some ???? in the source
code as well. (31DEC02, latest MNJ)

true for DOPOS=1 or DOPOS=0.  true for 4band as well as
P.
