[daip] Help for Yellow Dog Linux

Hi,

I've been using AIPS on RH 7.2 for several months and recently bought a 
PowerMac G4.
On the G4, I installed an operating system called Yellow Dog Linux 2.2 
which is based on RH 7.2, http://www.yellowdoglinux.com


The problem is I cannot compile AIPS on this system even though it has 
gcc 2.95-4.  Is this fixable or Hopeless since the G4 is not an intel 
based chip.
