[daip] problems with TV server

Dear AIPS helpers,

  I have just installed the 31DEC01 version of AIPS on my new Sun Blade
100 workstation, and I am having trouble getting the AIPS TV to start
properly.  Could you please help?

  My system administrator has made sure that the appropriate services
(SSSLOCK etc.) are contained in the NIS/YP map.  When I type "ypcat
services" they are all there and have the right format.  Still, when I try
starting up AIPS, there are no error messages but the TV does not pop up,
and when I try using the TV the following happens:

>tvinit
ZSSSO2 connect (INET): Connection refused
AIPS 1: ZSSSOP: CHANNEL ASSIGN ERROR FOR LUN    9
AIPS 1: YTVOPN: TV OPEN ERROR      6
AIPS 1: TV OPEN ERROR      6

  On the other hand, if I start AIPS trying to use UNIX sockets instead of
internet sockets, I get the following:

>tvinit
ZSSSO2 connect (UNIX): No such file or directory
AIPS 1: ZSSSOP: CHANNEL ASSIGN ERROR FOR LUN    9
AIPS 1: YTVOPN: TV OPEN ERROR      6
AIPS 1: TV OPEN ERROR      6
