If this installation is to support more than one computer then
we find it best to put the computer name in the data area path name:

            /home/aipsmgr/AIPS/DATA/JUNO_1

will be found when running on JUNO and

            /home/aipsmgr/AIPS/DATA/XXXX_1

will be used when running on XXXX. It is very much faster to run only
on local disks (for the data files). Note that these file names can
be links to whatever file is actually appropriate on Juno and XXXX.
The names need to match in DADEVS.LIST and NETSP. But you seem to
have this part working for now so..

This suggests that the $DA00 area either is empty - FILAIP not run -
or that it has wrong privileges so that you cannot open the file.
Group and owner need read/write privilege. Do an
       ls -l $DA00
       ls -l $TSTMEM
If they are empty
       RUN FILAIP
         35 -100
         2
         3
and then
       RUN POPSGN
        0 POPSDAT TST
        <cr>

This means that your other files (other than disk 1) are not
mentioned in $NET0/NETSP. In the long run - when you have final names
for them - they should all be put in there.

At one time you had more tape devices than you do now - at least ones
than aips "knows" about. This is not important. Kill all the
TPMON[1-n] jobs in the system and this will go away.

It is the FILAIP or privilege problem that is serious.
