[daip] velocity resolutions

Dear Doug,
 
If you are not going to combine, paste, concatanate your two observation in 
AIPS, then there is no problem. You understand it of cource.

If you are then you can convert your second observation to the first one resolution averaging two neighbour spectral point (task AVSPC).

I do not know if AIPS has an invert task to creat more spectral points.

Hi.  I have a quick question about matching velocity resolution of 21cm
data.  I have VLA 21cm observations of a galaxy in B, C, and D
configurations.  This data is all 32 channel 20km/s resolution.  I have
observations coming up for more D config time on the same object.  I'd
like to observe with 64 channel 10km/s resolution, but I'm worried that
AIPS might get touchy about that.  Is that the case?  If so, do you have
any suggestions?  Thank you very much.
