Eric,

My stupid goof of sourcing the LOGIN.SH instead of login.sh
has been fixed and I am now installed properly.

However, there was a problem accessing the DATA on the disks.
I remembered a fix I used to use long ago (I think I used it
anyway...) of deleting the CAD file and then logging in again
as the user that matched the various data and map files (e.g. 
aips user 1550 = .172; extensions.  However, this seems not
to have worked.  Is there a way to rebuild the CAD files based
on the data files residing in the various aips disks?

No rush on this, I am going home now and won't mess with my
work machine again til monday.
