[daip] AIPS message windows on Linux boxes

Hi daips,

Since yesterday, the Linux boxes that Diane and Stacy
are using have been coming up with a separate message
window when they start up AIPS, instead of having the
messages scroll in the same window where they're typing.
We were able to change it back with

setenv AIPS_MSG_EMULATOR none

But it appears that some default was changed.  Did
anybody do this on purpose?  Was there a reason?
