{If you ssh into a remote host the display is automatically set. However,
if seems that the form is not the usual WORKSTATION:0.0 but REMOTEHOST:10.0
With DISPLAY set in this (unusual?) way normal X programs are displayed on
my workstation (xterm, xbiff etc). But aips seems to get the X host directly
from the DISPLAY environment so decides you are on the REMOTEHOST and connects
to the wrong TV display (confusing all and sundry). I know that you can force
the display host to work around this (or just set DISPLAY by hand) but this is
a little ugly. Maybe aips could look in the $REMOTEHOST ABD $REMOTEUSER
 environment variable
