It can be desirable at the AUTO especially at the editing option (APARM(1)=1).

Let me think about permiting-not permiting people to average data
from different sources at the CROSS. 
I have thought that the warning is enough, but....

Hi Leonia,

Sorry to bother you again.  Why would you permit people to average data
from different sources (I am referring to the latest MNJ change to VPLOT)?
Averaging across scan boundaries is certainly a good feature but I can't
think of an instance wherein the averaging of different sources would be
desirable.  Is there one?
