[daip] sol architecture startup error

hi, i've recently installed aips 31DEC01. this installation is 
shared by a number of hosts all with SUL architecture. i'm seeing 
startup errors when trying to start aips on a host with SOL 
architecture (SunOS mambo 5.8 Generic_108528-08 sun4m sparc SUNW,
SPARCstation-20). do you have any suggestions? with the arch 
definition of SUL on host mambo i see the following errors on 
startup:

mambo:~>source /usr/local/aips/AIPS/LOGIN.CSH
MAMBO:~>which aips
/usr/local/aips/AIPS/31DEC01/SUL/SYSTEM/CASA/aips

and then starting aips produces the normal startup until:

TVDEVS.SH: Starting TPMON daemons on MAMBO asynchronously...

if i set the architecture to SOL the command aips is not defined
after sourcing LOGIN.CSH.

appreciate any suggestions here...
