Hi all,

I've read this message a couple times and not exactly
figured it out yet.  Any thoughts?  The idea that
"AIPS surely should be able to fix this" might require
a considerable amount of someone's time, and I
don't recommend going down this path if it seems
to be a long and tortuous one--at least not without
further discussion.
