Aaron,
>endeav> UVCON1: The fourth character in the IN2CLASS can not be a digit!
I do not remember now why I made such a restriction.
I'll investigate it now.
Use the verb RENAME to change the fourth character in the IN2CLASS for a letter.
Do it for say 10 facets.
Try UVCON and let me know the result.

Dear Designated Aip,
I would like to use UVCON with a model that consists of a
few hundred facets, each with its own CC table. The facets
are named as follows:
AIPS 1: 345 2000 XMM-UVC .ICL001. 1 MA 04-APR-2001 14:17:40
AIPS 1: 346 2000 XMM-UVC .ICL002. 1 MA 04-APR-2001 14:17:40
AIPS 1: 347 2000 XMM-UVC .ICL003. 1 MA 04-APR-2001 14:17:40
... up to ...
AIPS 1: 685 2000 XMM-UVC .ICL341. 1 MA 04-APR-2001 13:43:55
I first ran UVCON with the parameters:
...
AIPS 1: IN2NAME 'XMM-UVC ' Model image name (name)
AIPS 1: IN2CLASS 'ICL001' Model image name (class)
AIPS 1: IN2SEQ 1 Model image name (seq. #)
AIPS 1: IN2DISK 9 Model image disk unit #
...
AIPS 1: NMAPS 341 No. maps to use for model.
...
This is how I would input a model into CALIB for example. However with
UVCON I received the following error:
endeav> UVCON1: Task UVCON (release of 31DEC01) begins
endeav> UVCON1: The fourth character in the IN2CLASS can not be a digit!
endeav> UVCON1: Purports to die of UNNATURAL causes
endeav> UVCON1: endeavour 31DEC01 TST: Cpu= 0.0 Real= 0
I then tried leaving IN2CLASS blank and got:
endeav> UVCON1: ERROR 5 FINDING XMM-UVC .ICL00A. 1 DISK= 9 USID=2000
So apparently this won't work for more than 9 facets.
Please let me know if you have any ideas on how I can use UVCON with
a model with many ( > 9 ) facets.
Thanks,
-Aaron
