So you want to have two options in CVEL:

1. To use the velocity given at the SU table (set by SETJY)
2. To use the velocity calculated by CVEL itself.

Dear Leonia,

Thanks for looking into this further.  I appreciate your
patience/attention.

Yes, SETJY would be unnecessary for setting velocities.

The SU table could still be used.  SETJY could still
be used to insert VELDEF, VELTYP, and RESTFREQ into the SU tbl.
