I think KRING fails when it encounters a flagged IF.

AIPS version: 31DEC99, last updated 6 May 2000.
Dataset: 8 IFs, 16 channels/IF, Stokes RR only.
Flags:
     ROW ANTS TIME RANGE CHANS PFLAGS REASON
  NUMBER                D/HMS
       1        0         0/00:00:00.0      1    1111    RFI on IF 5
       1        0       ***/00:00:00.0     16
<etc>

KRING:
refant 5; solmode 'NRD'; cparm 0, 600, 60, 5, 0; solint 0;
docalib 1; gainuse 0; flagver 1; calsource set.

KRING proceeds on IFs 1-4 on the first solint:

ella  > KRING1: IF/Pol = 04/RR    00/04:34:46 to 00/04:36:40 (116.1 sec)
ella  > KRING1: LSq: [01 ]   -35.6     0.0      33.410  76.31
ella  > KRING1: LSq: [02 ]     2.6    -0.5      31.095  76.17
[...]
ella  > KRING1: LSq: [10 ]    19.2     1.0     -39.026  63.04

then encounters IF 5:
ella  > KRING1: IF/Pol = 05/RR    00/04:34:46 to 00/04:36:40  (116.1 sec)
ella  > KRING1: ZABORS: signal 8 received
ella  > KRING1: ABORT!

and dies without further explanation.
Maybe this can be fixed in some way? (Or I can always go back to FRING...)
Thanks,
Shami
