Hi,

With reference to my mail earlier today regarding 
the possibility of a bug in SNSMO, I think I
may have some clues which may throw light on 
the situation. 

After some work, I have discovered that all things being 
the same, SMOTY '' will give an error, but SMOTY 'AMPL'
will work fine. Now, since SMOTY '' is supposed to 
imply SMOTY 'AMPL', WHAT WE HAVE HERE is almost certainly
a bug in SNSMO.
