Sandy Weinreb will be leading a discussion on Perytons: terrestrial radio bursts of unknown origin that mimic extragalactic radio bursts. We will discuss potential origins and new methods to detect them. Sandy will also be describing his visit to the telescopes/detectors of Thomas Ashcraft, who studies radio emission from atmospheric events just east of Santa Fe.
