I do, but that probably doesn't count :)

Seriously, the group is mirrored through a moderated gateway to the
"bananas" mailing list, so anything valid gets through to that. It's a
two-way mirroring scheme, with the mail -> news direction unmoderated.

Most people tend to use the direct approach when they've got a problem
with AIPS, sending mail to aipsmail at nrao.edu, to me directly, or to the
designated AIP of the week.

It would be nice to see some real traffic on this group again, but usenet
is not what it used to be years ago when this group first appeared. For
one, posting to almost any newsgroup with an "unmunged" email address will
ensure that you get junk email (spam) from a large range of unsavoury, er,
businesses. This tends to have a large dampening effect.

I am aware of some "cancelbots" that may get rid of a lot of the junk here
and in the adass.* hierarchy, though if you implement the "NoCem" code on
your newsfeed a lot of it never sees your newsreader. NRAO/CV implemented
this a while ago with very pleasant results.
