The following is information regarding an AIPS patch for using tape
drives under Linux.

The patch file mentioned below can be found at:
ftp://aips.nrao.edu/pub/aips/15OCT96/APL/DEV/UNIX/BELL/LINUX/ZMOUN2.C

------------------------------------------------------------------------
ID: 3.
Task: Linux tape drives

Summary: Ensures that block size for SCSI tape drives is set to 0
at mount, and restores previous block size at dismount.
This eliminates a block size related problem that some
users were experiencing, primarily when attempting to use
              8mm (Exabyte) tape drives.
NOTE: This patch is only useful on Linux systems.

Files: /15OCT96/APL/DEV/UNIX/BELL/LINUX/ZMOUN2.C

Fix: 1. Fetch the file and put it in $APLLINUX
              2. Compile the subroutine:
                  COMRPL $APLLINUX/ZMOUN2
              3. Recompile the main AIPS task:
                  COMLNK $AIPPGM/AIPS
