TENURE TRACK SCIENTIST - NRAO GREEN BANK

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory solicits applications 
for a tenure-track scientific staff position at the Green Bank, 
West Virginia, site.  Requirements include a Ph.D. in astronomy,
astrophysics, or physics, a minimum of two years postdoctoral
experience, and a record of exceptional ability and leadership in
observational radio astronomy.  The successful candidate is expected
to be a significant force in the commissioning, use, and future
development of the Green Bank Telescope.  Information about the GBT

deadline for applications is 15 January 1997.  Applications should be
sent to the Director's Office, NRAO, 520 Edgemont Road,
Charlottesville, VA 22903-2475, and should include: a letter with a
description of research interests, an outline of research plans for
this position, curriculum vitae, and the names of five scientists who
have been asked to send letters of reference to the above address by
the stated deadline.
