The connection numbers, etc., will be sent soon. Meanwhile here is the draft document on the Proposal Review Process, which I am sure you will want to start reading and thinking about. Please note that this document is based on the assumption that Chilean proposals will be included in the single review process. Whether this will actually be the case has yet to be decided. Additional material will be attached to the agenda. I would like to ask ASAC members to send your opinions/comments on the draft to this mailing list preferably before the next telecon especially for those who will not be able to participate it, and then we can discuss this issue at the telecon based on the information. I just checked the note of the last telecon, which I sent you in December, and I summarize here some of the items to be discussed. These items will be the major discussion items at the next face-to-face meeting. + Project status - CSV phase started!? + Proposal Review Process - Draft just distributed. + Initial prioritization to be planned to be delivered to ASAC for discussion Possibly by the next telecon, more likely at the f2f meeting + Operation budget is also under the pressure to cut several millions of dollars Same situation as the construction budget There are a few meetings for this, and some outputs may come to the next f2f meeting + The Review of the Implementation Plan for Operations - Report of the panel and the project response to it will be circulated to ASAC + The ALMA Annual External Review - Recommendations available to ASAC?? + System Requirements - The top level document is not completed; will come to ASAC when finished + Response of the ALMA board for the ASAC report + Development - Any progress? + Board charges - Richard's email on December 20 - Investigation on the contingency funding will be provided + Information on the next face-to-face meeting in Japan -Check Morita-san's e-mail. See you at the next telecon.
