Dear folks,
At today's telecon, the ASAC decided to move its meeting from the
previously planned 28/29 January in Los Angeles to 28/29 January in
the vicinity of Washington, D. C.
Detailed planning is underway. Please make your plans to attend a
meeting in the Washington area beginning Saturday morning, 28 January
and ending in time to catch afternoon flights on Sunday, 29 January. Almost
certainly, a flight into and out of Dulles will be most convenient.
Chris, John and your project scientists will develop an agenda as soon as
possible and advertise it.
Several venues are possible and are under investigation--
a hotel at the Dulles airport (probably best),
AUI, in downtown Washington,
near NSF, in suburban Alexandria close to Washington,
U. Md., in suburban College Park between Washington and Baltimore Washington
International airport (and an alternate airport choice, this one with
rail service!).
Clear skies,
Al
