ALMA Configuration Group Meeting 7 June 2000

Date: 7 June 2000

Time: 11:00am EDT

Phone: (804)296-7082 (CV SoundStation Conference phone)

Past minutes, etc on http://www.alma.nrao.edu/development/config/index.html.

Agenda:

1. Does the digital mask need a fine tuning? (B. Butler)

2. Action items from the Tucson meeting are summarized by Al Wootten -- see
http://www.cv.nrao.edu/~awootten/mmaimcal/configurationcdr.html. Please check
your commitments and report your progress.

3. The updated project book chapter
(<www.aoc.nrao.edu/~myun/mma/config/chap15.pdf) has been sent to D. Emerson.

4. Simulation Image Library. The first 4 FITS model images for
imaging simulations are now available at
www.aoc.nrao.edu/~myun/mma/imaging/sil.html.
Some of these images are better suited for only high or low resolution
imaging while others may be more generally suitable. We should
revisit the simulation strategy</a> decided at the Tucson meeting
(www.cv.nrao.edu/~awootten/mmaimcal/simulate.txt).

5. Updates on strawperson configurations. The strawperson
configurations are now available on the ALMA Configuration Group Page
(www.alma.nrao.edu/development/config/index.html). Are we missing any critical
information here? Does anyone have other competing configuration
ideas that need to be listed separately?

6. Effect of Pointing Error has been investigated by K. Morita.
This and results of his new investigations are available as
www.tuc.nrao.edu/~kmorita/CONFIG/PERR2.html -- PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS
IS AN UPDATE FROM THE REPORT INCLUDED IN THE EARLIER AGENDA.
