From lappel at nrao.edu Thu Mar 12 12:03:46 2009 From: lappel at nrao.edu (Lori Appel) Date: Thu, 12 Mar 2009 10:03:46 -0600 Subject: [Vlavlbausers] EVLA Vision: Stars On and Off the Main Sequence Message-ID: <49B93262.3060608@aoc.nrao.edu> The EVLA Vision: Stars On and Off the Main Sequence NRAO announces the second in a series of workshops for exploring the wide range of science questions for which the Expanded Very Large Array (EVLA) will be a pivotal instrument. The VLA revolutionized the field of stellar radio astronomy, with detections across almost the whole Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, and the opening of entire new fields of research. The EVLA promises similarly impressive advances, with massive improvements in sensitivity, instantaneous bandwidth, frequency coverage, spectral capability, and transient source response. The object of this conference is to explore what this will mean for studies of stars. "The EVLA Vision: Stars On and Off the Main Sequence" will be held in Socorro, New Mexico, on May 26 - 28, 2009. Please see the web page http://www.aoc.nrao.edu/events/evla_stars09/ for more details and registration information. -- Karl Menten for the Scientific Organizing Committee ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We apologize if you receive this notice more than once. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
