Details about the symposium and the Jansky Lecturer are below:

In a traditional way, the symposium will be accompanied by the winner of the Jansky Lectureship, who this year is Dr. Paul Vanden Bout, Emeritus Astronomer from NRAO. The title of Dr. Vanden Bout's presentation is "Millimeter Astronomy at NRAO - Some Personal Reminiscences".

Astronomers from New Mexico and surrounding states are cordially invited to attend the Symposium and, if they wish, to present a paper. We expect to fill a full-day schedule with oral and poster presentations, from about 9:00am to 5:00pm. We particularly encourage students and young astronomers to use the Symposium as a forum to present ongoing astronomical research.
