SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Colleagues,

the abstract submission deadline for contributions at the 37th annual New Mexico Symposium is approaching fast, and will close midnight on Friday, November 5, 2021 (in 2 days). We particularly encourage students and young astronomers to use the Symposium as a forum to present ongoing astronomical research.

Abstract submission form: http://www.aoc.nrao.edu/cgi-bin/nmsymp/abs.cgi

We expect to fill a full-day schedule with oral and poster presentations, from about 9:00am to 5:00pm. Details on contribution formats can be found at:

http://www.aoc.nrao.edu/events/nmsymposium/2021/program.html

Registration will remain open until Tuesday, November 16, unless capacity of 250 will be reached before this date.

Registration: http://www.aoc.nrao.edu/cgi-bin/nmsymp/regstr.cgi

After the Symposium we will host the 56th annual Karl G. Jansky Lecture, this year given by Prof Luis F. Rodriguez of National University of Mexico (UNAM) on "Jets from Stars in the Making". The Jansky lecture will be delivered virtually this year, and requires separate registration (https://science.nrao.edu/science/jansky-lecture/speakers/2021-jansky-lecturer-prof-luis-f-rodriguez).

Please distribute this announcement at your institution to help us reach as wide an audience as possible. The event is free to attend. Given the virtual means this year we are able to accommodate an audience twice as large as we have in the past. If you did not receive this message by direct e-mail and would like to be added to the mailing list, please go to https://listmgr.nrao.edu/mailman/listinfo/nmsymp. If you need further assistance or information, please contact Lori Appel or Anna Kapinska.

With best wishes,

Anna D. Kapinska
