<small>David Harland asked me last week if I plan to define XML

namespace in the VCI schema. <br>

I always wanted to discuss that with NRAO designers but somehow never

got to that topic. <br>

I believe that defining widar namespace is a good idea; many EVLA

subsystems will use the same or similar XML tags (keywords); adding

namespace "widar" will eliminate possible conflicts and confusion. <br>

<br>

For people who are not familiar with XML: namespace is basically a

prefix added to all the XML tags (keywords). For example, if the

namespace is widar, XML tags would look like this:<br>

widar:station<br>

widar:component<br>

widar:activationTrigger<br>

etc.<br>

If  there is no major objections, I will update VCI schema to use

namespace "widar". <br>
