<div dir="ltr"><div>I don't immediately see anything that would cause a problem. Depending on how the VDIF threads are recorded (separate files or interlaced into one file) there might be a setup change needed (two datasteams per telescope, one per VDIF file, rather than just one datastream as would be the case for interlaced VDIF). I don't think point 3) needs any changes, if there are channels in these stations that are not present at other stations they just wouldn't be correlated.</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers,</div><div>Adam<br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Thu, 16 May 2024 at 06:51, Michael Dutka via Difx-users <<a href="mailto:difx-users@listmgr.nrao.edu">difx-users@listmgr.nrao.edu</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Hi All,<br>We received a message about an upgrade to the digital backend for Russian geodetic VLBI stations and then describe the frequency setup like this:<br><br><ol start="1" type="1" style="margin-bottom:0in;color:rgb(36,36,36);font-size:15px;margin-top:0in"><li style="margin:0in;font-size:8.5pt;font-family:Helvetica"><span style="border:0px;font-style:inherit;font-variant:inherit;font-weight:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;font-size:11pt;line-height:inherit;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;font-kerning:inherit;font-feature-settings:inherit;margin:0px;padding:0px;vertical-align:baseline;color:inherit">VDIF output format (instead of Mark5B+)</span></li><li style="margin:0in;font-size:8.5pt;font-family:Helvetica"><span style="border:0px;font-style:inherit;font-variant:inherit;font-weight:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;font-size:11pt;line-height:inherit;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;font-kerning:inherit;font-feature-settings:inherit;margin:0px;padding:0px;vertical-align:baseline;color:inherit">Each frequency range has its own VDIF data stream, i.e. for S/X mode will be two VDIF streams (instead of one like Mark5B+)</span></li><li style="margin:0in;font-size:8.5pt;font-family:Helvetica"><span style="border:0px;font-style:inherit;font-variant:inherit;font-weight:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;font-size:11pt;line-height:inherit;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;font-kerning:inherit;font-feature-settings:inherit;margin:0px;padding:0px;vertical-align:baseline;color:inherit">The number of DBBCs used in each frequency range must be a multiple of 2, i.e. standard geodetic mode will be 8 USB channels in S and 8 USB or 16 channels (8 USB+ 2 LSB + 6 any) in X (instead of 6 USB in S & 8 USB + 2 LSB in X)</span></li></ol><div><font color="#242424" face="Calibri, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14.6667px"><br></span></font></div><div><font color="#242424" face="Calibri, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:14.6667px">The question is can DiFX handle this setup?
