THIRD ANNOUNCEMENT

15th DiFX Users and Developers Meeting

NRAO, Socorro, NM USA

September 11-15, 2023


In this third announcement for the September DiFX meeting we would like to 
encourage those that are planning to attend to register at the meeting website: 
https://science.nrao.edu/science/meetings/2023/DiFX2023 .  Note that in 
addition to registering for the meeting itself, you will need to register as an 
NRAO visitor as described at the site.

The NRAO Guest House will be available for visitors.  Rooms are available on a 
first-come first-served basis at competitive rates.  The guest house is within 
easy walking distance of the NRAO building.  It has a kitchen and laundry 
facilities.

We will have a session covering use or plans of DiFX at your institution. Even 
if you are not planning on making a presentation, please consider preparing to 
speak a few minutes in this session.  Slides are welcome but not necessary.

The LOC will will coordinate ground transport from/to the Albuquerque 
airport.  If you would like to either provide a ride or need one, please 
reach out to one of us with your flight details.  Unfortunately there are 
no realistic taxi / app-ride-share options.

Weather in Socorro in September should be nice, but still warm.  Highs around 
90F and lows around 60F with low chance of precipitation.  For those joining 
the Pie Town tour on Friday note it will be cooler there and likely very sunny 
and please be sure to bring sturdy closed-toe shoes.
