Please clarify, as what you say is not entirely true. We are currently processing ASKAP voltage dump data with DIFX, and AIPS
does pickup polarisation labels (ie we label them as X and Y and this is what AIPS sees).

Wrt X/Y and H/V, I will let others discuss that.
