I did a preliminary check of the data and found that there are no GC (gain curve) or system temperature data available for the VLA. I also could not find such data at the website: Index of /astro/VOBS/astronomy/jul25. According to the AIPS Cookbook, amplitude calibration for the VLA antennas also seems to rely on GC and system temperature. Of course, I am aware that another method for calibration is using SETJY. So my question is: for this type of data, is the amplitude calibration of the VLA antenna done using GC and system temperature, or is it the case that for new observations such data are no longer specifically required for VLA amplitude calibration? If it still uses gc and system temperature for amplitude calibration, where can I find the gc and system temperature for vla ?
