I do recommend the DOPLOT=1 and OUTFILE options which make a web page for you to look at all stages of the data reduction. This is especially important for students who are still learning. In this case both VLBARUNs went well and the images of the calibrator sources are pretty good. I expect that some round of self-cal on the calibrators would improve things but I do not know by how much. The primary cal in C2 has some data in the SPLIT file rather lower than all the rest, quite possibly incorrectly. Self-cal might correct this or perhaps it needs to be edited.</div><div>I do not see the source repeating itself around the image that you mention. Instead I see a very large empty field with no sources that I could believe. The noise level in the target fields is 27 and 21 microJy/beam which is already quite good. The noise peaks are plus or minus 6 times this but I see no believable source in the large images. Try TVROAM to look at the whole thing interactively. Again self-cal of the calibrators could improve this but I would not be too optimistic.</div><div><div class="dp-signature-start">Eric Greisen</div>
