<div>Dear VLBA Help Desk,</div><div>I am Ayisha Fida, currently working on the reduction of VLBA data using AIPS, acquired under Proposal ID: VLBA/25A-182 (Legacy ID: BF138), as part of my PhD research.</div><div>I am encountering some issues while reducing the C-band and X-band data for the sources BF138C2, BF138X2, BF138C1, and BF138X1 using the VLBA_RUN procedure in AIPS. I would sincerely appreciate your help with the following problems:</div><div><b> Missing CL Table in SPLIT Data (BF138C2 and BF138X2):</b></div><div> Although the VLBA_RUN pipeline completes successfully, including calibration steps like FRING and CLCAL, the final SPLIT UV data does not contain any CL table. Running IMHEAD confirms that there is no CL extension. This prevents me from proceeding with imaging.</div><div><b> Image Sampling Issue (BF138C1 in C- and X-band):</b></div><div>After running VLBARUN on BF138C1 in both C- and X-band, the image appears to be sampled multiple times. The same source structure is repeated across the field, as seen in the AIPS TV display. This makes it unclear which is the actual source position and prevents proper imaging and analysis.</div><div><b>These datasets are crucial for my thesis work. I would be very grateful if you could kindly:</b></div><div> Help me understand why the CL table is missing in the final SPLIT UV data for BF138C2 and BF138X2.</div><div> Advise on the cause of the repeated sampling/artifact issue during imaging of BF138C1 and BF138X1.</div><div>I have attached the full terminal output of the VLBARUN procedure for BF138C2 as a text file (vlba_run_output_BF138C2.txt) for your reference.
