<div>Hi,</div><div>I have tried calibrating the BM429 data set, an observation of Cygnus X-1. There are two data files at each epoch. One has a bunch of strong calibrators used to determine the multi-band delay; the other has a target source and phase reference calibrator. I have calibrated the second data set using the following AIPS tasks,</div><div>1. TECOR, to determine the ionospheric delay and Faraday rotation</div><div>2. CLCOR (opcode = EOPS), to correct for the Earth's orientation parameters</div><div>3. ACCOR and CLCAL apply digital sampling correction</div><div>4. APCAL and CLCAL to convert the correlation coefficient to the Jansky unit</div><div>5. FRING (calsource =J2253+1608 ) determines the single band residual delay and rates. </div><div>6. CLCAL (interpol=2PT), to apply the solution to all sources, with 2-point linear phase interpolation</div><div>7. BPASS (calsource = J2253+1608), to determine bandpass solutions. I have not normalized the solutions, which may have changed the amplitude level. </div><div>8. CLCOR (opcode = PANG), for parallactic angle correction</div><div>9. FRING (calsource = J1957+3338) determines the single band residual delay and rates.</div><div>10. CLCAL (interpol=ambg), phase referencing</div><div>I examined the solutions with POSSM, some of the baselines have scattered phases, and I suspect the calibration solution but some of the baselines show flat phases.
