<div>Dear Amy, <br></div><div>Thanks a lot. Sorry for the delay since I was out of the station.</div><div>Yes, you are right; there is no subarray. I made a mistake. I need not run FRING on In-Beam Calibrator (IBC) and pulsar itself. I have to derive fringe fitting solutions on phase reference source and then apply them to IBC and pulsar. For the in-beam calibration, I have to run CALIB on IBC and apply the solution to the pulsar. Please opine.</div><div>I have one more query, related to 'VLBA_BD174AO_inbeam1bd174ao_BIN0_SRC0_1_140804T161002.idifits', this data set. Here I have done all the calibration till fringe fitting but cannot get coherent phases for IBC. I have performed the following tasks,</div><div>1. TECOR, to determine the ionospheric delay and Faraday rotation</div><div>2. CLCOR (opcode = EOPS), to correct for the Earth's orientation parameters</div><div>3. CLCOR (opcode = PANG), for parallactic angle correction</div><div>4. ACCOR, apply digital sampling correction</div><div>5. APCAL, to convert the correlation coefficient to the Jansky unit</div><div>6. FRING (calsource = J0346+5400, solint=0.5, solsub=0.3), to determine the single band residual delay and rates. SOLINT was set based on COHER output. The Average Coherence Time is 0.292 min (COHER).</div><div>7. CLCAL (interpol=ambg), to apply the solution to PRS and IBC, with linear phase interpolation using rates to resolve the phase ambiguities.</div><div>7. BPASS (calsource =J0319+4130 ) to determine bandpass solutions.</div><div>I have noticed that if the initial data set has a noisy phase, I cannot get coherent phases. I have attached the POSSM plots without any calibration (possm_ibc_solint-1.png) and after applying all calibration (possm_cl_bp_ibc_solint-1.png).</div><div>I noticed the same problem with the other data set (project code BM 429), where I did not get the coherent phase for Cgy X-1.</div><div>Regards,</div><div>Ashish <br></div>
